Margaret Wyatt

Having spent two years out of work looking after her children, Margaret had tried without success to gain employment.  She was low in confidence and self-esteem and felt that her skills were outdated.

Margaret joined TNG Stockport, where staff helped her overcome her barriers to employment.  She was given the opportunity to practice interview questions and techniques, as well as advice on updating her CV and cover letter.  Margaret developed her computer skills during her jobsearch and became more confident in her abilities which made her realise that she did have valuable experiences that she could use to gain employment.  Margaret secured her first interview after only one week with TNG, and attended the interview fully prepared with a positive attitude.  She was offered the vacancy and is now working as a care assistant.
